Newsletter Weekly Update :Sept 4 - 8, 2017

Language Arts

In the next week, the children will be choosing topics for their opinion writing pieces and begin to learn the structure of a personal essay. In reading, the children will continue exploring “Just Right” books and applying new strategies for fluency and comprehension.

Math

This week, students will continue to read and write multi-digit numbers in word form, expanded form and standard form. They will also begin to round numbers to the nearest place value.

Science/ Social Studies

This week, we may finish up with learning about the history of our name and dive into investigating the idea of identity.  What is it? What makes you…”you”? What do we value and believe? What might influence our values, beliefs and behaviors?

Announcements

The ASA start coming Tuesday, on the 5th of September. Monday, 4th September is a holiday - no school. Friday 8th September - no school. Thank you Schuyler House and Nthiya Pichum for volunteering to be 4HR’s co class parents.
