Weekly Newsletter: May 21 - May 25, 2018

Language Arts

In reading this week, the students will be looking for symbolism in their stories by identifying objects or ideas that represent something else in the story. In addition to this, the students will also be identifying factors that influence a character’s perspective, such as age, religion, time and place.

Math

This week students will be reviewing geometry concepts and preparing to take the unit assessment.

Science/ Social Studies

This week we will be finishing up our lessons to help students understand the targeted vocabulary for the unit and we will begin our Trade and Resource Simulation! This will be an exciting 7 day project where students will work in collaborative groups role playing what factors go into global trade and economies. The beginning of our project will first focus on learning about an assigned country and its geographical and economic information.
